And considering where this is located, it is a good little general store with lots of surprises as well. From a genuine 'Crocodile' back scratcher to some assorted car parts.

Nothing better than fresh bread and cream buns in the morning. Beautiful chunky steak pies and sausage rolls. Friendly staff and awesome costumer service. Will come back for sure.

I had a great stop at this roadhouse. The food was very reasonably priced, and the ac was refreshingly cool.
Gary made my partner (barramundi burger) and I (Croc burger) great burgers for our lunch. It was very nice, and the stop was just what we needed!

10/10 would stop here again.

The cashier Maria, was a delight. Very friendly and genuine person, so good when I needed help. Her and David are both incredibly good and kind members of staff that are a pleasure to see when you visit the servo. The pies are really good and the rooms are really cosy and good value compared to other nearby options. Would definitely recommend. Lovely business with lovely staff.

Pies, Tasted the large steak pie (Mataranka Special ) Its the best pie I have eaten in decades. Lots of tasty slow cooked meat and chunky too. Perfect gravy . Its a meal by it self . I have driven from Darwin to Adelaide and back many times and this Road House is the best for food . Sausage rolls are great too.

Mataranka Chunky Steak Pie - Best I have had in ages. It was big, the meat was tender and tasty and I was very full from it. The store was bigger than expected and full of all sorts. Was nice to see a bakery in there as well. The staff were very helpful even though it was extremely busy and they were run off their feet, due to being one of the only places open in town, a pleasant hidden surprise as it just looks like a little BP on outside.
